Championship Week 8
Crystal Palace vs Durham
20-year-old midfield maestro Aimee Everett started once again for Crystal Place against league leaders Durham with Mille Farrow started on the bench. The Eagles struck first with an early goal but Durham looked to bounce back quickly but were denied twice by the keeper. Everett begun the break that led to Palace’s second goal of the game after a great counterattack. Durham dominated the second half and finally halved the deficit following a corner. Super sub-Farrow ended any hopes of a comeback after tapping in her second goal of the season as the Eagles move up to 5th place.

Liverpool vs Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn Rovers and Annabel Blanchard faced second placed Liverpool in this tough fixture. It was Liverpool who controlled the game and seemed destined to score but Blackburn defended really well as a unit and somehow managed to keep the clean sheet. Blanchard didn’t have many chances to dazzle with the ball like usual but her pressure from the top of the park for Rovers helped them grind out a result to remain in 9th place.
